Push The Mayor!

Challenge complete!

Congratulations to Josh, all the volunteer pushers and support team!  Thanks to all the well-wishers who came out to cheer them on, and a massive THANK YOU to everyone who donated to the fighting fund.  There's still time to donate if you haven't already.

The bed

Of course, we wouldn't clatter one of our precious hospital beds over Shropshire's famous potholes!

Behold, our specially made bed by Matt Maddox from MM Fabrications (www.mm-fabs.co.uk) with printing by Dean Morris from VT Prints (www.vtprints.co.uk).

Many thanks to them and their colleagues for their generous support and for lending their skills to help our cause.

A note about where the money goes

What do we spend the money on?

At the moment it's mainly printing and meeting space hire.  There's online services like web hosting and office supplies like stamps and clipboards.  Research costs are likely and we're prepared to take legal action if necessary - which of course will cost.

What don't we spend the money on?

We don't spend it on ourselves!  Members supply their own refreshments for meetings.   We're being as frugal as we can be, and buying local wherever possible.

How is the money managed?

The money is held by The Friends Of Bishop's Castle Hospital (Charity No: 1005980) and accounted for by their Treasurer and our Sub-Treasurer.

What happens to any remaining money?

When the campaign is over and the hospital beds once again have patients in them, any remaining funds will go back to the hospital in one form or another for the benefit of its staff and patients.
